Emerging Powers is the name of the second set of Pokemon Cards from the Black & White series of the Pokemon TCG. The English version of the set was initially released on August 31st, 2011 and contained a total of 98 cards including secret rares.
Like most expansions of the TCG Emerging Powers was accompanied by the release of two theme decks; Power Play and Toxic Tricks. The set introduces 26 Unova Pokemon in trading card form for the first time and contained more than 70 different Pokemon overall. The set also introduces the rival characters from the Black & White videogames; Cheren and Bianca.
