XY or the XY Base Set as it's also known is the first set of Pokemon Cards to be released in the XY series of the Pokemon TCG. The set first released in English on February 5th, 2014 and contained a total of 146 cards.
XY introduces us to the Kalos region as well as several other firsts for the trading card game, bringing Fairy-type Pokemon, Mega Evolution and Pokemon from Gen VI to trading card form for the first time. Like most TCG expansions the main set was complimented by the release of two theme decks; Resilient Life ft. Xerneas and Destruction Rush ft. Yveltal.
